Bletchley Park Mansion

BLETCHLEY PARK. In 1939 several hundred people reported to this Victorian mansion in Buckinghamshire. This was to be 'Station X', the allies top-secret centre for deciphering enemy codes encrypted by the ingenious Enigma machine used for German high level communications.

THE VINTAGE & MILITARY AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY. Formed to encourage the collection, preservation, restoration and use of vintage and military radios. There is considerable knowledge and expertise within this society.

ROYAL SIGNALS MUSEUM. Located at Blandford Forum, it is the national museum of Army communications and the exhibits and displays show the part that communications played in the wars and campaigns of the last 150 years. The Museum collection is regarded as being of National importance and the excellent Archives are recognised by the Public Record Office.

The Guernsey Society  aims  to promote, maintain and stimulate interest in all matters concerning the Bailiwick of Guernsey, its past, present and future - and keeping alive the "Spirit of Guernsey" both in the island and overseas. Our web site is the online expression of these goals - so whether you're an expat Guern, your ancestor was from there, or you just think it's a great place - then this site's for you. Membership is open to all with a connection to or an interest in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The membership pages contain details of how to join - either by post or online.

FESTUNG GUERNSEY is a new initiative instigated by professional groups and individuals with an interest in WWII fortifications, with support from the States of Guernsey Museum Services. The aim is to make available to the public and visiting historic societies and academics examples of the most important fortifications built in Guernsey by the German occupying forces 1940-45. Some of the locations have been subject to extensive restoration while others will be secured in their original condition as they were when stripped soon after the end of the war.
